Fresh Perspectives by Stephanie Loomis I think I was born singing. There are pictures of me at three singing in the
church "cherub" choir. I sang through high school, through college, in musical
theatre, and in small ensembles well into my 30s. I even took voice lessons in
my late 30s just because I loved learning the music and the techniques that
allowed my to express my joy.I moved from California to Georgia with my family in January 2005. Somehow in the months that followed, I lost that joy. I joined the church choir, which was good, but I just wasn't satisfied. I longed for a challenge. I wanted to be around musicians who had fun while working their craft. I needed to surround myself with others who expressed joy through singing. |
