Music Director's Corner	September 8, 2009 Dear GYSO&C students and families, I hope that you all had a relaxing Labor Day Weekend. Rehearsals start back up this Sunday at the normal time, so be ready to get into full swing! Please see below for information regarding a special masterclass with David Perry, rehearsal schedules, and the GYSO&C promotion video (in case you missed it). A reminder, all paperwork is due on Sunday, September 13, as well as the first installment (or complete payment). To download/view forms: click here For our organizational efficiency, you will be receiving an invoice from the Cobb Symphony for the year. If you are applying for financial aid, the invoice may or may not be applicable. (Reminder: Financial Aid applications are due on September 13). David Perry Master Class

This Sunday at 5:30, David Perry (member of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and 1st violinist Pro Arte Quartet) will be giving an open masterclass for GYSO&C members. Afterwards, he will join Symphony Orchestra in rehearsal. We highly recommend Philharmonia members stay a few minutes after rehearsal as well as Symphony members arrive a few minutes early to see this special event. Students that will be performing are as follows:

Nicholas Lindell | 1st Movement, Accolay Violin Concerto
Ray Kim | 1st Movement, Elgar Cello Concerto
Elijah Johnson | E Major Partita, Bach
