Percussion - Enjoy the week off from both Percussion Ensemble and Symphony

During the summer when Dr. Alexander and I discussed the season, we thought it would be a good year to really challenge the orchestra to levels yet achieved in the past. Roman Carnival was chosen for that exact reason - the mixture of sprightly melodic lines, displaced beats, and quick tempo is an undertaking for our long term musical growth, more than our technical. And so, to supplement this development, please take a listen to these three very different versions of this piece.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I'll see you on Sunday!
