Bookmark and ShareDear GYSO&C Students and Families,

We are closer than you think to that first concert, and everyone on the artistic staff is excited to see and hear what you have been doing these past few months. All the conductors have personally come and told me how gifted their ensembles are this year, and it is really wonderful hearing that everyone is enjoying their time in the program. Keep up the good work, and most importantly, keep having fun.

See you Sunday,

John

Gustav Mahler's Second Symphony

This Saturday and Sunday @ KSU

Seeing a Mahler Symphony performed live is one of those landmarks in a musician's life. The sheer size of it is spectacular, not to mention the wildly imaginative sounds that you will hear coming from the stage. As always, students get free tickets to CSO events. So, the choice of whether to come or not really should be a "no-brainer." Simply email me to reserve your ticket. [Parents, friends and relatives: Tickets are only $15 - doesn't miss your opportunity to experience Mahler with your child!]

Program:
Mahler, Symphony No.2 "Resurrection"
Jana Young, soprano
Magdalena Wor, mezzo soprano
Cobb Symphony Orchestra Chorus
