After high school she sang in college musicals and acted in plays even though she didn't major in music or theater. At graduation from the University of Georgia, she took her degree in Journalism and went into sales with BellSouth. She continued to sing in church choirs and a community chorus, but after she got married and had her first child, the singing was put on hold. Fifteen years and three children later, she started singing again, being chosen to sing in the choir at All Saint's Episcopal church. She currently sings in the choir at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal church which is directed by Greg Colson, former director of the Georgia Tech Chorus. She also participates in the Praise & Worship band as well as a small gospel combo that performs occasionally for special events. The CSO chorus was recommended by fellow chorister, Bob Bonstein, and the rest is history! Now she is divorced and all three children are grown so she can live for the CSO! Her work keeps her very busy - she is the National Training Director for Aaron Rents - Corporate Furnishings Division which has her traveling around the country and juggling her schedule so she can make it to rehearsals.
