Alice Ann Hermanson graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education, where she studied with Dr. Robert Jesselson and Dr. Gail Barnes. At USC she participated in the String Project for four years, allowing her to teach individually and in classes with students of all levels, from beginners to high school. She is currently Director of Orchestras at McClure Middle School in Cobb County and is a cellist in the Cobb Symphony.

Alice Ann attended the Killington Music Festival in Vermont for two summers and had the fun experience of recording a few tracks for a friend's CD. She enjoys contra dancing and playing with her cats and the ever-expanding garden in her backyard.
