Cobb Symphony Orchestra

Beth Herr Collier is a board certified music therapist who moved to Georgia from Pennsylvania in the mid nineties. She investigated several community based music ensembles before joining the Cobb Symphony Orchestra in 1997. The CSO quickly proved to be a top notch group. Beth boasts she has played the violin to one of the largest audiences ever, citing the CSO's performance at the halftime show for the Super Bowl in 2000. From 2004-2007, Beth served the CSO Board of Directors as an advisory board member. She continues to grow as a musician through her participation in the CSO.

After graduating from Radford University in Virginia, Beth jumped into her professional life with sincere passion and has been practicing music therapy for over a decade. The majority of her professional career has been dedicated to serving hospitalized children as the music therapist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Specialty areas of training include becoming a Fellow of the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.

When Beth is not at rehearsal, she is out walking the dog, catching a live concert anywhere in town, running on the treadmill, traveling the globe with her husband or playing the piano in her den.
