Susie McKenney-Hines has been playing with
the Cobb Symphony since 2007. She graduated from Furman
University, where she served as the orchestra's
concertmaster for two years. After graduating, she came back
to Atlanta and taught orchestra in Cobb County from
1992-2000. During that time, she earned her Master of Violin
Performance degree from Georgia State University in 1996.
She has been a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) since 1992,
and has been an active clinician and adjudicator in the metro Atlanta area. She has also been a member of the Georgia Philharmonic since 1992 as principal second violin.
Today she enjoys raising her two daughters, Morgan and Kylie, while maintaining a small private violin studio and freelancing in the metro area.
