George Nicholson, Double Bass, is originally from Ridgewood, New Jersey, where he studied from Linda McKnight at the Manhattan School of Music, preparatory division. He performed in such ensembles as the All-Eastern and All-National Orchestras, and has received numerous scholarships and awards like the New Jersey Governor’s Award of the Arts. George received a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in Music Education from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. He is currently the Orchestra teacher at Garrett Middle School in Austell, GA and has worked with many ensembles in the Cobb area. He is a currently a member of the Cobb Symphony Orchestra.
